Memorial Message:
Lisa Getz was murdered in 1995. The following is an article about this event. This article is specific. Please do not read further if you do not want to know the details.
Lisa Getz was murdered by Jeremy Sagastegui in November of 1995. At the time her name was Lisa Vera-Acevedo.
Sagastegui was convicted of 3 counts of aggravated 1st-degree murder for the drowning and beating of Keiven Sarbacher, 3, and the shooting deaths of his mother, Mellisa Sarbacher, 27, and a 2nd woman, Lisa Vera-Acevedo, 27.
The killings occurred Nov. 19, 1995, in a mobile home in rural Finley, east of Kennewick, where Sagastegui had been baby-sitting Sarbacher's 2 children. The 2nd child, a 1-year-old girl, was unharmed.
Sometime between the evening hours of November 18 and the early morning hours of November 19, 1995, at a residence in Finley, Washington, Jeremy Sagastegui sexually abused, beat, stabbed and then drowned Kievan Sarbacher (Kievan), a three-year-old boy who was in his care. Sagastegui then waited for Kievan's mother, Melissa Sarbacher (Sarbacher), to return home. When she did so, he shot her and her friend, Lisa Vera-Acevado, who had accompanied Sarbacher home.
She will be remembered for her fun of life, joy of having a good time, having a house to party in, the CB handle of 'Maiden' and in the know of the high school gossip. I will hold on to the fun memories of her.
